I haven't perfected tulips yet- one lonely white tulip after buying a few a couple of years ago. Any secrets? Do you lift your tulip bulbs over summer?
Hi Hazel, thanks for your interest! Tulips are tricky! Of course I have only photographed my triumphs... Apparently they are one of the few bulbs that like lime. I also put the bulbs in the crisper for a few weeks before planting. I used to lift them but it's ok to leave them in the ground in Tassie as long as they don't get too much summer watering. I tend to buy a few new ones each autumn and hope for the best : ))
